Great Golden Dome at Imam Reza's Holy Shrine, Mashhad - Iran
Historically, architecture is the first art could adapt itself to Islamic concepts, which has welcomed by Muslims.
The shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad is one of the most famous religious buildings in Iran.
The architecture used in the shrine of Imam Reza is considered as the pure Islamic art. This shrine includes dome, minarets, finials, porches, museums and library.
The inner surface of the dome is decorated with stalactite and the outer surface is covered with copper clay and a layer of gold. Before the minarets were next to the mosques for saying adhan, they were used as guiding towers that guided travelers.
